THE FUTURE IS

09.jpg

Let's have music,
let's have fun!

At Bright Young Bells we believe in the power of music. It ignites and accelerates all areas of child development including intellectual, motor, language, literacy, and social-emotional skills. But it does even more than that; it gives them the tools to understand and express their feelings, to connect language and movement, and to manage their energy and emotions. Basically, music helps the body and the mind work together to help a child reach their full potential!

Music and dance are much more than just fun activities for children.

In fact, it's very beneficial for them to participate in these performing arts.

Here's why:

Emotional regulation

Music builds neural pathways throughout the brain, especially in the corpus callosum (a band of tissue that connects the two hemispheres of the brain). Neurologists believe that this conveys a whole range of benefits, including greater emotional resilience and an improved ability to solve multistep problems as found in mathematics, engineering, art, gaming, and technology.

Physical awareness and endurance

Young musicians and dancers learn gross motor skills like balance, control, and coordination. Group movement exercises also encourage kids to step out of their comfort zone, nourishing self-confidence, self-esteem and self-expression. Singing and movement is also good aerobic exercise linked to stress reduction, physical fitness and overall improved mood and emotional regulation.

Before kids can talk, they sing. Engaging in creative activities lets kids release their emotions and express their feelings, making it a fantastic outlet for children who aren't yet able to put their thoughts into words. Through music, children can learn to explore and learn about different emotions and how they can navigate through it.

A bond like no other

For centuries, parents instinctively use music to soothe children, to express love and joy, and to engage with their little ones. By being part of the Bright Young Bells program, parents and children become connected to a global group of musical families who harness the power of music to benefit their children and themselves.
